Challenging the Conventions: Socially (week5)

Blog post #2

Hi again!

So i'd like to think that the entire purpose of my magazine was to challenge the minds of society.

Here are the ways I plan to do so:

The cover page is usually en edited picture of a woman with thin thighs, flawless make up, and toned stomachs. Of course, this is not always the case, but usually magazine coers are heavily photoshopped to alter the appearance of a man/woman and giving false expectations for the people who happen to buy or see it.

For my cover page, I want to show a more realisitic body type in the sense that, if the model has cellulite or stretch marks, they will not be edited. And if the model has a bit more fat on her arms, or her legs seem extremely thin, they will not be edited to be completely altered.

The following are examples of exactly what I DO NOT want to do.
